Abstract
The mobility behaviour of young German adults today is less dominated by the car than it was in the 1990s. While license holding stagnated for this age group, their car ownership decreased. The main reason for car ownership decreases are socio-economic developments. However, car usage decreased even more significantly. This can be mainly attributed to the fact that young car owners increasingly use other modes as well, i.e. they are more and more multimodal.
