Der Kanton Aargau setzt seit mehreren Jahren erfolgreich ein geographisches Informationssystem im Natur- und Landschaftsschutz ein.Es dient der Aufnahme, Archivierung, Auswertung und Darstellung von Daten.Als Instrument bei der Entscheidungsfindung sowie zur Beurteilung von geplanten und realisierten Maßnahmen gewinnt das GIS zusehends an Bedeutung.(-z-)
