Pilotprojekt Digitale S-Bahn Hamburg. Die Digitalisierung des Bahnbetriebs als Schlüssel für dessen Zukunft.

Abstract

Die S-Bahn Hamburg GmbH steht aktuell vor großen Herausforderungen, die mehr Kapazität und Stabilität im Bahnbetrieb bedürfen. Insbesondere soll bis Mitte der 2020er Jahre durch neue Linien die Anzahl an Zugfahrten um 30 Prozent steigen. Dafür sollen neue Digitale Stellwerke und der digitalisierte Bahnbetrieb für Abhilfe sorgen. Im Pilotprojekt Digitale S-Bahn Hamburg wird erstmalig 2021 der hoch- und vollautomatisierte Bahnbetrieb realisiert. Damit wird die Basis für einen Rollout dieser Technologie auf das Gesamtnetz der S-Bahn Hamburg im Bahnsystem gelegt. Dafür müssen Altstellwerke durch neue Elektronische und Digitale Stellwerke ersetzt werden und sowohl die Infrastruktur als auch die Fahrzeuge mit ETCS und ATO ausgerüstet werden.S-Bahn Hamburg GmbH is currently facing various challenges that require more capacity and stability in rail operations. In particular, two new lines are expected to increase the number of train movements by 30 percent by the mid-2020s. New digital interlockings and digitized rail operations are intended to remedy this. In the pilot project Digital S-Bahn Hamburg, highly and fully automated rail operations will be implemented for the first time in 2021. This creates the basis for the rollout of the entire network of the Hamburg S-Bahn in the rail system. To do so, old interlockings need to be replaced by new electronic and digital interlockings and as well the infrastructure as the rolling stock needs to be equipped with ETCS and ATO.
