Abstract
About 5.700 stations and stops exist in the German railway net. Not all of them are up-to-date or even in good condition. By several investment programs and many ideas, this will be changed step-by-step, as the value of the “access point” as a “visiting card” has been accepted – by the operator as well as by the municipalities. Sometimes a thorough brush-up is sufficient. However, new offers from conference rooms up to bicycle repair tools are increasingly being tested – some of them can become standard. There is also something happening at the urban stops: the first ones are being greened. Customers and climate will benefit.
