Rund 5.700 Bahnhöfe und Haltepunkte gibt es im deutschen Eisenbahnnetz. Nicht alle sind in aktuellem oder auch nur in gutem Zustand. Mit mehreren Investitionsprogrammen und vielen Ideen ändert sich das nach und nach, der Wert der „Zugangsstelle“ als „Visitenkarte“ ist erkannt, von Betreiber und Kommunen. Manchmal reicht schon eine gründliche Auffrischung. Doch vermehrt werden neue Angebote vom Konferenzraum bis zum Fahrradwerkzeug getestet, manches kann zum Standard werden. Auch an städtischen Haltestellen tut sich etwas: erste werden begrünt. Kunden und Klima profitieren.About 5.700 stations and stops exist in the German railway net.
