Abstract
Im Landesentwicklungsplan I NRW wird Sonsbeck als Gemeinde mit zentralörtlicher Bedeutung für einen Versorgungsbereich von 5.000 bis 10.000 Einwohnern ausgewiesen.Entsprechend dieser Zielsetzung wurde ein Gemeindeentwicklungsplan für die Entwicklungsstufen 1980, 1990 und 2000 bis zur maximalen Aufnahmefähigkeit aufgestellt.
