Abstract
Zunehmende Verkehrsaufkommen sowie wachsende Umwelt- und Lärmbelastungen stellen Großstädte, Kommunen und Nahverkehrsbetreiber vor Herausforderungen. Anhand dreier Projektbeispiele aus Hamburg (Dieselhybridbusse), Zürich (Batterie-Trolleybusse) und Braunschweig (Batterie-Gelenkbusse) werden passgenaue Lösungen, die Vossloh Kiepe gemeinsam mit Busherstellern entwickelt hat, vorgestellt und die Vorzüge nachhaltiger Bustechnologien veranschaulicht.
Heavier traffic and growing environmental pollution (including noise) are posing problems for big cities, municipalities, and local transport operators. Three projects, Hamburg (diesel-hybrid buses), Zurich (battery-powered trolleybuses) and Braunschweig (batterypowered articulated buses) typify tailor-made solutions that Vossloh Kiepe has developed together with bus builders. They illustrate the benefits of sustainable bus technologies.
