Abstract
Der Beitrag beschreibt, wie Multiagenten-Simulationen über die technokratische Bearbeitung von Szenarien hinaus auch direkt und partizipativ im Prozess, über den letztendlich die Entscheidungen zustande kommen, angewandt werden können. Das Modell ist integrativ und versucht, alle wesentlichen Prozesse abzubilden. Die Prozesse werden angetrieben von Agenten, wobei auch Institutionen wie z. B. die staatliche Verwaltung oder Firmen durch Software-Agenten repräsentiert werden. Es ist nun möglich, die Agenten-Entscheidungen durch Menschen statt durch das Computer-Programm treffen zu lassen. Im Beitrag wird ein Beispiel gezeigt, in dem die Entscheidungen eines Immobilien-Entwicklers durch einen Menschen statt durch das Computer-Programm wahrgenommen werden, und welche unterschiedlichen Konsequenzen sich daraus ergeben. Hiermit ist es natürlich vorstellbar, dass prinzipiell alle Entscheidungen durch humans-in-the-loop getroffen werden, oder aber, vielleicht wichtiger: dass Menschen verschiedene Rollen wahrnehmen können, und mögliche Konsequenzen ihrer Entscheidungen in diesen Rollen sichtbar werden. difu
The multi-agent urban model, CityDev, and its utilization as a support for decision-making are presented. The simulator of the CityDev model runs on a 3D spatial pattern organized in 3D cells (surface: 200 x 200 m), and is based on agents, goods and markets. Each agent (household, industrial firm, commercial firm, service firm, or developer) produces goods (labor, buildings, consumer goods) by using other goods, and then exchanges the goods in the various markets. Because each agent needs a building to live or work in, the urban fabric is produced and transformed. CityDev, here applied to Florence, Italy, allows human users to participate in the simulation through the Internet. In fact, thanks to Java code, during the simulation Web users can manage the agents generated by the simulator in addition to any new agents they have established. An experiment demonstrates multi-agent participatory simulation: a developer building a new quarter in a suburb of Florence. The results show that the multi-agent method places the human actor at the centre of urban theory. In addition, the participation of human users proposes a new type of support for decision-making in which participatory simulation is embedded in a process of social learning and negotiation and contributes to the establishment of the final decision. difu
