Abstract
On December 12th, 2004, the BVG performed the largest change on routes and schedules in their history. The entire network of the bus and tram was restructured and adjusted to the new traffic flows. The customers were involved by voting on different possibilities for each new bus line. As a new product, so called MetroBus and MetroTram lines were implemented into the public transportation system. These Metrolines are in addition to S-Bahn and U-Bahn lines major means of transportation on important routes. Since these new products have high frequencies in their schedules customers have shorter travel periods. This results in two percent more passengers and three percent less operation volume. difu
