Abstract
Damages on track surfaces like corrugation or long pitch corrugation and cracking, endanger track functionality in the public transport. Furthermore, corrugation and long pitch corrugation increase sound emission which is likely to conflict with the noise protection efforts of many communities. High Speed Grinding City does address both challenges. Thanks to its high working speed, the optimized compact version and practice approved high speed grinding procedure by Vossloh, there is no need for line blockades. Used regularly, the gentle HSG track grind counteracts signs of exhaustion in the beginning.
