Bus-Port mit cleverem Öko-Dach. ESWE macht aus der Not gleich vier Tugenden.

Abstract

Bei der Wiesbadener ESWE Verkehrsgesellschaft wurde im Sommer vergangenen Jahres ein Bauwerk eingeweiht, das ebenso ungewöhnlich wie innovativ ist. Der Bus-Port, ein Linienbus-Carport im XXL-Format, ist ein wahres Multitalent: Nicht nur, dass er die Busse je nach Jahreszeit vor sommerlicher Hitze oder winterlicher Kälte bewahrt und dass das Regen- und Schmelzwasser, das sich auf ihm ansammelt, in die ESWE-Buswaschanlage eingespeist wird - vor allem trägt der Bus-Port auf seinem Dach eine riesige Photovoltaik-Anlage, die auf umweltfreundliche, weil emissionsfreie Weise pro Jahr rund 400000 Kilowattstunden regenerativen Strom erzeugt.In the summer of last year, the Wiesbaden ESWE Verkehr company inaugurated a building that is as exceptional as it is innovative. The Bus-Port, a public bus carport in XXL format, is a true multi-talent: It does not only protect the busses from heat or cold depending on the season, it also collects rain- and meltwater, that accumulates on top of the Bus-Port, in a receiver tank for the ESWE bus wash. Most notably, however, the Bus-Port boasts with a large photovoltaic-system on its roof, which generates about 400000 kilowatt hours of environmentally friendly, thus emission-free, renewable electricity per year.
