Abstract
In the near future the Bremen tram rail network will be expanded by about 30 kilometres of new tracks. There will be altogether six combined structural measures, which were accepted in the overall project program of the Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Affairs s municipal transportation finance statute (Gemeindeverkehrsfinanzierungsgesetz). One of the first building blocks of these measures is the 5 kilometres extension of the tram line number one in the east of Bremen. The project planning includes ten new tram stops and emphasizes an open, comprehensive communication which incorporates new media. The development was partly displayed three-dimensionally and as a result it was possible to present a tangible planning. This method of communication caused a positive response by the adjacent owners and lead to project-oriented cooperation between public authorities and private enterprises (Public Private Partnership, PPP). difu
