Abstract

In den letzten Jahren führte die erfolgreiche Entwicklung im Tourismus auf Usedom zu einer erheblichen Zunahme des Pkw-Verkehrs, die den Erholungscharakter der Insel zunehmend beeinträchtigt. Mit der Usedom Card werden daher neue Wege gegangen, um das Mobilitätsverhalten der Urlaubsgäste zugunsten von ÖPNV und Fahrrad zu beeinflussen. Hierbei wurde eine klassische Gästekarte zu einer Mobilitätsgästekarte auf­gewertet. Der Erfolg der Demonstrationsphase spricht für eine Fortführung dieses Ansatzes.During the past years the considerable enhancement of tourism on Usedom island lead to a strong increase in car traffic interfering now the recreation atmosphere of the area. To help shifting mode choice of tourist more towards public transport and bike the Usedom Card was introduced. The card means an upgrade of a conventional guest card to a mobility card for guests. The success of the test phase was encouraging enough to continue with this approach.
