Abstract

Schnelles und sicheres Roaming ist ein Begriff in Verbindung mit durchgehender mobiler M2M-Kommunikation im öffentlichen Nahverkehr. Die Anzahl der Einsatzbereiche steigt kontinuierlich an. Voraussetzung für viele Anwendungen ist die Übertragung der Datenvolumen in und aus den Fahrzeugen in Echtzeit. Der Artikel informiert über den aktuellen Status und es wird berichtet, warum die aktuelle mobile Infrastruktur nicht die Anforderungen, die sich aus den gelisteten Anwendungen ergeben, erfüllen kann. Als Lösung dienen externe M2M Router oder auch interne Software Middleware Komponenten.Fast and secure roaming is a term associated with the seamless mobile M2M communication in public transport. The number of application areas which need an uninterruptible connection to the remote terminal is rising. Precondition for many applications is the transmission of large volumes of data in real-time in and out of vehicles. The article describes the current state and explains why the actual mobile infrastructure cannot fulfill the needs arising from the applications listed. The solution is to use external M2M routers or also internal software middleware components.
