Niederländische Initiative eines Modellversuchs mit 60t-LKW.

Abstract

Mit Parlamentsbeschluss vom 12. Dezember 2003 hat der niederländische Minister für Verkehr und Wasserstraße eine amtliche Beratungskommission beauftragt, mit einem neuen Modellversuch die alltägliche Verkehrs- und Betriebspraxis extralanger und -schwerer Lastzugkombinationen (LZV) mit 25,25 m Gesamtlänge und bis zu 60 t Gesamtmasse zu prüfen. Eine Änderung der zulässigen Achslasten wird dabei nicht angestrebt. Dieser Modellversuch läuft vom 1. Februar 2004 bis 1. November 2006. Die LZV-Kommission besteht aus dem Generaldirektor Güterverkehr im Verkehrsministerium, der Vorsitz und Geschäftsführung innehat, einem Vertreter des Direktoriums der juristischen Dienste sowie dem Direktor des Reichsdienstes Straßenverkehr (RDW). difuThe report covers the Netherlands' second investigation into the acceptance of combination juggernauts (LZV), which are extra long (up to 25 meters) and have an overall weight of 60 tons, for general daily use, by the target date set for 1 November 2006. Early results have shown that the use of LZV vehicles tends to curtail heavy truck journeys, and cut fuel consumption and smoke emission by 12 % or 18 % respectively. Operational costs are reduced by 20 %. Applied to Germany, the use of LZV vehicles for inland transport is estimated to eliminate some 14m heavy truck journeys and reduce their traffic share by about 50 m hours. Annual transport cost savings would be in the region of 0.5 to 0.6 billion Euros. Even without international approval, the use of LZV juggernauts would greatly enhance the competitive standing of nations. difu
