Die Bahnindustrie erwartet in Deutschland ein klares Bekenntnis der neuen Bundesregierung zur umweltfreundlichen Bahn. Erforderlich sind genügend Investitionsmittel für Eisenbahn und ÖPNV. Denn für die Erreichung der Klimaschutzziele ist der Schienenverkehr unverzichtbar. Er praktiziert Elektromobilität seit mehr als 100 Jahren und nicht nur als blankes Zukunftsprojekt. Nicht übersehen werden darf, dass Deutschland ein weltweit führender Standort für Bahntechnologie ist, der rund 150000 Arbeitsplätze sichert.The German rail industry is still asking for the new Federal Government s commitment to support the eco-friendly rail system. Sufficient investment funds for the rail and local passenger transport are absolutely necessary, though. In order to attain the climate protection targets, rail traffic is indispensable. Since more than 100 years, rail traffic has practiced electric mobility; it is not a mere future project. Not to forget - Germany is one of the globally leading locations for rail technology granting about 150000 jobs.
