Abstract
Das von Informatikern und Studenten ostfranzösischer Universitäten 2017 ins Leben gerufene Projekt UrbanLoop will die städtische Mobilität neu erfinden. Kleine automatische Kabinen sollen jederzeit verfügbar sein und schnelle und energiesparende Direktfahrten zwischen den Haltestellen ermöglichen. Eine Demonstrationsanlage ist bereits in Betrieb und der erste Fahrgasteinsatz ist für 2024 vorgesehen.
Launched in 2017 by computer scientists and students from universities in eastern France, the UrbanLoop project aims at reinventing urban mobility. Small automatic cabins are to be available at any time, enabling fast and energy-saving direct journeys between stations. A demonstration system is already in operation and the first passenger service is scheduled for 2024.
