Projekt für standardisierte und optimierte Fahrgastinformation. VDV startet mit 14 Partnern aus Industrie, Verkehrsunternehmen und Wissenschaft Forschungsprojekt IP-KOM-ÖV.

Abstract

Der VDV hat zusammen mit Partnern aus dem Bereich der Verkehrsunternehmen, der Industrie und der Wissenschaft das Projekt Internet Protokoll basierte Kommunikation im Öffentlichen Verkehr (IP-KOM-ÖV) definiert. Das Projekt hat die Aufgabe, eine moderne, leistungsfähige und standardisierte Kommunikationsarchitektur für die ÖV-Bereiche Fahrzeug, Echtzeit Kommunikations- und Auskunftsplattformen (EKAP) sowie die Modelle und Kommunikationsdienste zu kundeneigenen Endgeräten zu entwickeln. Ziel dieser Standardisierung ist die Bereitstellung einer technischen Basis für eine verbesserte Fahrgastinformation, die Unterstützung der Verkehrsunternehmen und -verbünde bei der Ausschreibung, der Implementierung und dem Betrieb moderner Kommunikationsarchitekturen sowie die Bereitstellung einer verlässlichen Basis für die Industrie zur Produktgestaltung. Die Erarbeitung der Standards erfolgt in fünf Arbeitskomplexen.Together with some business partners from transport companies, industry and science, the Association of German Transport Companies (VDV) has defined the project ?internet protocol based communication in the public transport? (IP-KOM-ÖV). The aim is to develop a modern, efficient and standardized communication structure for different sections in the public transport like vehicles, real time communication and information platforms. It is also to develop models and communication services for customer-owned appliances. The aim of this standardization process is to provide a technical base for improved passenger information and to support transportation companies and associations on tendering ­procedures. The implementation and operation of modern communication structures and a reliable basis for industrial product design are as well included in this project. The ­development of those standards will be made in five individual operations.
