Die Schrift gibt eine Übersicht über die ökonomische Entwicklung der Stadt New York für die Jahre 1960-1972. Die Daten beziehen sich auf die Entwicklung von Industrie, Beschäftigtenzahlen, Einkommen und freie Stellen, auf das Wohnen und Arbeiten in den Vororten und in der Stadt, auf die städtische Fiskalpolitik, die Bevölkerungsentwicklung und die wirtschaftliche Entwicklungspolitik.
