Der SCANDRIA®-Korridor - integrierte Raum-, Wirtschafts- und Verkehrsentwicklung von Skandinavien bis an die Adria.

Abstract

Der SCANDRIA®-Korridor ist ein Raumentwicklungskorridor von Skandinavien über die ostdeutschen Bundesländer bis nach Norditalien. Er ist die kürzeste Landbrücke zwischen Ostsee und Adria und verbindet eine Vielzahl von kulturell und wirtschaftlich bedeutsamen, kreativen Hauptstadt- und Metropolregionen. Zur Mobilisierung der hier vorhandenen Potenziale wurden INTERREG B-Projekte initiiert. Ein Ziel dieser Projekte, die Verknüpfung der bisherigen vorrangigen Transeuropäischen Verkehrsachse 1 (Berlin-Palermo) und der Achse 22 über Berlin und Rostock mit dem Nordischen Dreieck, ist inzwischen Teil des von der Europäischen Kommission vorgeschlagenen neuen Transeuropäischen Verkehrskernnetzes. Weitere konkrete Projektergebnisse sind z.B. eine "Green Corridor"-Strategie und neue Güterzugkonzepte. Innovative Verladetechniken wurden getestet, erste neue Blockzüge fahren inzwischen und weitere konkrete, raumwirksame Investitionen wurden vorbereitet. Wesentliches Ziel ist es, Initiativen zu einem sich selbst tragenden Wirtschafts- und Raumentwicklungsprozess anzustoßen, der aber auch mit neuen Projekten weiter unterstützt werden soll.The SCANDRIA® Corridor is a spatial development corridor from Scandinavia via the East German federal states to northern Italy. It is the shortest land link between the Baltic Sea and the Adriatic Sea and links numerous cultural and economically significant, creative capital and metropolitan regions. In order to mobilise the potentials that exist here, INTERREG B projects were initiated. One aim of these projects, the linkage of the previous priority Trans-European Transportation Axis 1 (Berlin-Palermo) and the Axis 22 via Berlin and Rostock to the Northern Triangle, is meanwhile a part of the new Trans-European core transportation network that has been suggested by the European Commission. Further concrete project results are for instance a "Green Corridor" strategy and new freight train concepts. Innovative loading techniques were tested, first new block trains are running meanwhile and further concrete, spatially effective investments were prepared. The essential goal is to start off initiatives for a self-supporting economic and spatial development process, which is to be supported further with new projects.
