Abstract
Within the framework of this project, a structured approach method has been developed to serve as the basis for target-specific identifying measures in the field of infrastructure demand planning. The current state-of-affairs in transport planning is being analysed to begin with. Based on the findings, a standardized approach to target-specific identifying measures is formulated, thus offering traffic planners the opportunity, at an early stage of the planning process, to highlight the contribution of a chosen measure to a key set of objective standards. Based on the special approach method mentioned, ten different transport-related infrastructure initiatives are reviewed from the aspect of viability. The results of this examination are summarized in a comprehensive report. It is noted that definite, objective standards cannot be devised for all the areas involved. The heterogeneity of infrastructure measures makes it necessary to devise objective standards for specific groups of measures. Based on the results of this investigation, the need for further research is highlighted. difu
