Das macht sie auch dank niedriger Investitions- und Unterhaltskosten wettbewerbsfähig zu Bus und Straßenbahn. People Mover verursachen kaum Umweltbelastungen, haben einen geringen Energie- und Unterhaltsbedarf bei hoher Verfügbarkeit (über 99 Prozent).
