Güssing/Südburgenland - erste energieautarke Stadt Österreichs.

Abstract

Das Modell Güssing gilt heute als Erfolgsmodell und ist international als Energiezentrum anerkannt. Die Ziele Regionalentwicklung und Arbeitsplatzbeschaffung wurden durch viele Initiativen, Projekte und den Mut zum Handeln erreicht. Bedeutend für die Stadtgemeinde ist, dass Arbeitsplätze in quantitativer und vor allem auch in qualitativer Hinsicht geschaffen wurden. Ein wesentlicher Faktor dabei ist die enge Kooperation zwischen dem Europäischen Zentrum für erneuerbare Energie Güssing (EEE), lokalen und regionalen Institutionen (AMS und Weiterbildungseinrichtungen). In Zukunft ist eine Erweiterung des Modells "Energieautarke Stadt Güssing" geplant und zwar einerseits in technologischer und andererseits in räumlicher Hinsicht. Technologische Ziele werden Steigerungen der Leistungen und Effizienzen der bestehenden Anlagen, sowie der Einsatz neuer Technologien und die Erweiterung der Rohstoffpalette sein, z.B. Solar, Altspeiseöl, Biogas, um neben der Forstwirtschaft auch die Landwirtschaft zu stärken. Besonderes Augenmerk wird dem Thema Polygeneration gewidmet werden, wodurch je nach vorhandenen Rohstoffen, Menge und Art des Energiebedarfs flexible Energieversorgung in unterschiedlichen Regionen möglich, sein wird. Außerdem ist eine räumliche Ausdehnung des Modells auf den Bezirk Güssing geplant. Im Bezirk sind die gleichen Ressourcen in ausreichender Menge (40 % Bewaldung) vorhanden. Auch entsprechende Technologien sind bereits vorhanden, so dass einzig die Umsetzung erfolgen, muss, damit auch der Bezirk Güssing energieautark sein kann. Dabei sind ähnliche Synergien wie durch die Umsetzung des Modells Güssing zu erwarten. difuGüssing/Southern Burgenland - the first city in Austria that is self-sufficient in energy supply. Today, the model Güssing is a success story and internationally accepted as an energy centre. The aims of regional development and job creation were achieved by various initiatives, projects and the courage to take action. For the city it is very important that many jobs were created, including those with high qualifications. In this regard, the close cooperation between the centre for renewable energy in Güssing (EEE) with local and regional institutions (AMS and institutions for advanced training) is an essential factor. In the future the extension of the model "energy-self-sufficient city of Güssing" is planned. On the one hand this extension will take place with regard, to technologies, on the other hand with regard to the area. Technological aims are the increase of the capacities and efficiency of existing plants, as well as the application of new technologies and the extension of the spectrum of resources, e.g. solar energy, used edible oil- and biogas, in order to strengthen agriculture besides forestry. Special attention will be paid to the subject polygeneration which will - depending on the existing resources, quantity and quality of energy demand - make a flexible energy supply in different regions possible. Furthermore an extension of the mode[ to the district Güssing is planned. In the district the same resources are available in sufficient amounts (40 % of the area of the district are wooded). Adequate technologies are also available, so that it only requires implementation to make the district Güssing energy sufficient. Thereby similar synergies as in the implementation of the model Güssing can be expected. difu
