Frankfurt boomt. Einer aktuellen Modellrechnung zufolge wird ein Wachstum der Main-Metropole von derzeit 700.000 Einwohnern auf bis zu 860.000 Einwohner im Jahre 2030 erwartet. Die zusätzlichen 350.000 Pendler machen Frankfurt an Werktagen zur Millionenstadt. Ohne Ausbau der Schienen-Infrastruktur droht der Kollaps. Bereits seit zwei Jahrzehnten gibt es Pläne für einen Ausbau des SPNV in und um Frankfurt. Einzig: der Baubeginn für die vier entscheidenden Großprojekte wird ständig verschoben.Frankfurt is a booming city.
