Abstract

Nur selten in der jüngeren Vergangenheit der Einigungsbewegung Europas fand die europäische Infrastrukturpolitik des Verkehrs eine so lebhafte Beachtung wie im Jahr 2003. Auslösendes Moment dafür waren zunächst Feststellungen des Weißbuchs der Europäischen Kommission "Die europäische Verkehrspolitik bis 2010 - Weichenstellungen für die Zukunft" vom Herbst 2001. difuChanges are under way for Europe's infrastructure policies in line with Loyola de Palacio (EC Commissioner for transport matters) initiatives based on the report prepared by the van Miert Group. The principal changes envisaged relate to amendments to the 'Common Guidelines for the Creation of a pan-European Transport Network', which have meanwhile become apart of a draft decree. Also infrastructure projects are to be launched as a matter of urgency, while new ideas about specific routes are being formulated. All this is seen as a boost for Europe's transport infrastructure policies. difu
