Abstract

Der Bushersteller Solaris baut seit 2008 mit der der Herstellung von Straßenbahnen ein zweites strategisches Standbein auf. Der Prototyp des 100% niederflurigen, modularen Multigelenkwagens Solaris Tramino entspricht polnischen Normen und wurde im Herbst 2009 der Öffentlichkeit präsentiert, im Herbst 2010 beginnt die Serienfertigung für den Erstkunden Posen. Ergänzende Varianten und weitere Fahrzeuge sowohl für Polen als auch andere Länder sind mittelfristig geplant.Bus manufacturer Solaris started the development of tram vehicles in 2008 as a strategic second focus of activity. The prototype of the Solaris Tramino, a 100% low-floor, modular multi-articulated vehicle, was built to Polish norms and requirements and was first presented to the public in late 2009; serial production for the first customer, Pozna, begins in autumn 2010. Additional variants and further models both for Polish and international customers are planned in the medium term.
