Abstract

Vor 40 Jahren nahmen im Münchner Verkehrs- und Tarifverbund (MVV) die Verkehre ihren Betrieb auf. Damit begann eine beispiellose Erfolgsgeschichte für den ÖPNV in München und dem Umland. Die Bewohner des Großraums profitieren tagtäglich und unmittelbar von dem, was Aufgabenträger, Verkehrsunternehmen und Verbundgesellschaft leisten. Darüber hinaus hat sich der MVV zu einem bedeutenden Standortfaktor entwickelt, der zur ökonomischen Prosperität der Gesamtregion und zum Erreichen der ökologischen Ziele einen unverzichtbaren Beitrag leistet. Die zeitgemäße Organisationsstruktur und vorausschauendes Handeln waren hierfür Garanten und werden helfen, auch die Herausforderungen der kommenden Jahre zu meistern.
