Abstract
Mit Hilfe eines portfolio-theoretischen Ansatzes werden die Beziehungen zwischen der Zusammensetzung der Industrien und der Stabilität der Beschäftigung in einer Region untersucht. Der Ansatz wird zunächst abstrakt entwickelt und dann empirisch getestet (Virginia, 1951-1971).
