Abstract
About 50 participants debate possibilities and limitations of ride sharing in the future mass transit environment during the conference Forum "Neue Mobilitätsformen" (forum new mobility concepts) at university of applied sciences Wildau. The questions about prospects and experiences, legal framework and regulations as well as quality standards raised during the presentations had been active, controversial but always constructive discussed by the audience. During the discussion it got clear that the formulation by all stakeholders of an obligatory general framework is needed in the near future. The common goal of new mobility concepts have to be the reduction of driven kilometres, the reduction of the number of vehicles and an ecological benefit by intelligent use of pooling possibilities.
