Carsharing boomt. Doch parallel zu den Nutzern nehmen auch die Sorgen zu, dass das Autoteilen dem ÖPNV langfristig Kunden abnimmt sowie Straßen und Städte zusätzlich belastet. Doch Carsharing ist nicht gleich Carsharing. Einige Anbieter setzen auf Konzepte, die eine stadtverträgliche Mobilität gewährleisten und mit den bestehenden ÖPNV-Angeboten verknüpft werden können. Es gilt deshalb, die Unterschiede genauer zu betrachten und Carsharing als einen Teil multimodaler Mobilität kritisch zu hinterfragen.Carsharing is flourishing. But parallel to the rising number of users the worries increase that car sharing in the long run might steal customers from the public transport services or that it could strain roads and cities. But car sharing does not equal car sharing. Some providers rely on concepts that ensure a city-friendly mobility and can be easily linked to the existing public transport services. We therefore need to consider the differences in more detail and question car sharing as part of a multimodal mobility critically.
