Curve squeal is commonly known and irritating, but can be remedied by implementation of suitable measures, such as efficient lubrication or conditioning of railheads. Various analyses have revealed that it is best to strategically lubricate the rail head of the inner rail and the travel edge of the outer rails with a minimum quantity of lubricant. Other measures are also mentioned but are not recommendable, either due to their high cost of investment or their insufficient efficiency. Modern lubrication systems have been adapted to state-of-the-art technology and can not only be precisely adjusted, but also controlled via Websites or APPs, and they even provide information about system conditions.
