Innerhalb der Neugestaltung des Bahnhofsvorplatzes am Bahnhof Herne stellt der zentrale Omnibusbahnhof ZOB die wesentliche Komponente dar. Durch die Ausführung als Businsel mit umliegenden Bussteigen und integriertem Stadtbahnzugang können die Fahrgäste ohne Fahrbahnquerung zwischen den ÖPNV-Verkehrsmitteln wechseln. Seine besondere Prägung erfährt der ZOB durch die verglaste Überdachung, die als transparenter Körper über der gesamten Businsel schwebt. difuThe Central Bus Station is the main component of the new layout for the public square at Herne Train Station.
