Abstract

Zukunftsforscher, Trend- und Mobilitätsforscher prognostizieren seit Jahren bereits kurzfristige maßgebliche Veränderungen des Personen-Verkehrsverhaltens. Das Auto im Eigenbesitz soll danach schon bald ausgedient haben. Dem ÖPNV und seinen Komplementär-Systemen Carsharing und Bikesharing soll die Zukunft gehören. Für eine realistische Einordnung solcher Szenarien ist es geboten, sich mit Art und Geschwindigkeit der tatsächlichen Entwicklungen in den vergangenen Jahrzehnten zu beschäftigen und die künftigen Veränderungen sehr sorgfältig zu beobachten.Future-, trend- and mobility-researcher are predicting since years a yet short term radical change of the personal traffic behavior. Not few experts proclaim that there will be no demand any more for private cars and that the future of mobility will primarily be based on public transit and its complementary systems CarSharing and BikeSharing. In order to classify such scenarios realistically it is highly recommendable to analyze the kind and the speed of the factual changes in the respective regard during the last decades as well as to observe carefully the real development in the future.
