Abstract
According to empirical findings, tapping the considerable market potentials for the public transit is sometimes only possible by prices. However, there is no acceptance of the Bahn-Card with most of the other associations. The Bahn-Card system together with the single tariffs of the transport associations cannot be brought into line neither conceptual nor economically. This is the opinion of most of the participating transport associations. However, the transport association Rhein-Neckar has disregarded the doubts and has introduced a belayed acceptance of the Bahn-Card on all single tickets since June 1st 2004. The figures based on experience show that the acceptance of the Bahn-Card may even result in a win-win-win-situation for customers, associations and German Railways. difu
