Abstract
Der UMBAU erscheint seit 1979 als interdisziplinäre, von der Österreichischen Gesellschaft für Architektur herausgegebene Zeitschrift, die Hintergründe und Zusammenhänge der Architekturproduktion sichtbar machen will. Die aktuelle Ausgabe beleuchtet das Thema "Umbau" sowohl aus stadthistorischer als auch architekturtheoretischer Sicht.
UmBau has appeared since 1979 as an interdisciplinary journal published by the Austrian Society for Architecture. It examines architectural production in its multifaceted contexts and interrelationships. The current issue explores the theme of reconstruction from the perspectives of urban history and architectural theory.
