Aim of the project TRANSIT (2005-2006) was to make mobile, intermodal services available to visitors of events here in particular visitors of the FIFA world championship 2006 in Berlin - so that they can arrive on the optimal way at a certain place to a certain time. Amongst others, the impact on travel behaviour of the intermodal TRANSIT-services were be analysed within this project. For this a methodical approach was selected, which consists of different empirical modules. A sample of 14 persons were characterised in three different groups by a cluster analysis. For this purpose the data of a brief written questioning of the 14 persons were parallelised with the data of a project-independent German nationwide telephone survey. Based on this classification a field test with subsequent individual interviews was conducted. Starting from a small sample it is possible to draw tendencies of impact on travel behaviour for the whole system by the use of this approach. difu
