Abstract

Die Entstehung der modernen europäischen Großstadt führte zu einer Intensivierung des Lärmdiskurses. Anhand der sich radikal wandelnden Lautsphäre wurden paradigmatisch Fragen der Stadtentwicklung, der Kultur- und Zivilisationskritik, aber auch soziale und ökonomische Konflikte diskutiert.The emergence of the modern European city led to an intensification of the noise discourse. On the basis of the radically changing phonetic sphere, questens of urban development, cultural and civilization criticism, but also sociel and economic conflicts were paradigmatically discussed.
