Flughafenentwicklung und Stadtentwicklung: die Rolle von Robustheit und Flexibilität. Eine zusammenfassende Betrachtung.

Abstract

Flughäfen als infrastrukturelle Großprojekte haben durch ihre wachsende Bedeutung und Funktionsvielfalt weitreichende Rückwirkungen nicht nur auf das Umfeld des Flughafens selbst, sondern auch auf die gesamte Flughafenregion. Die Integration von Flughafen- und Stadtentwicklungsplanung wird so zu einer zentralen Aufgabe der Regionen mit großen Flughäfen. Dabei spielen Aspekte der Robustheit und Flexibilität eine zentrale Rolle. Welche Anforderungen daraus an Strukturen und Prozesse in der integrierten Planung von Flughafen und Stadtentwicklung erwachsen und welche Erfahrungen dazu bereits vorliegen, beleuchtet der Beitrag in einem Ausblick und bezieht dabei die in Heft 1/2011 vorgestellten Flughafen-Beispiele in Deutschland und Europa mit ein.As large infrastructural projects, airports have far-reaching impacts not only on the environment of the airport itself but also on the entire airport region due to their growing significance and functional variety The integration of airport and urban development planning thus becomes a central task of the regions with large airports. The article considers in a concluding outlook which requirements emerge from this with regard to the structures and processes in the integrated planning of airports and urban development and which experience is already available. In doing so, it includes the airport examples in Germany and Europe which are presented in the issue.
