Abstract
The mechanisms of mobility management will become more important in the development of urban transport due to a continuing demand for mobility and increasing traffic-related environmental problems. Amongst the different approaches of mobility management with regard to various target groups, the focus lies on residential related management as most ways start or end in the individual locations. An analysis of the approaches demonstrate that communities should focus on the support of pedestrian or bike paths and local passenger transport structures and hence may support a location-related mobility management.
