Abstract

Spätestens seit Stuttgart 21 ist klar: Zukunft geht nicht ohne Bürgerbeteiligung. Das weiß auch die bisherige Autostadt Kiel, die durch eine systematische Mobilitätswende klimafreundlicher und lebenswerter werden will. Der Ansatz: Die Planung und Umsetzung eines zukunftssicheren ÖPNV-Systems mit Hilfe eines co-kreativen Beteiligungsprozesses. Kielerinnen und Kieler konnten bei Stadtteilforen, Online-Umfragen und anderen Formaten aktiv ihre Ideen einbringen. Begleitet und umgesetzt wurde der bisherige Prozess von der Ingenieur- und Managementberatung Ramboll.Since Stuttgart 21 we know: The future doesn’t come without public participation. A fact that Kiel, which so far has been known as car-friendly, is also aware of. The city is now aiming to become more climate- friendly and liveable through a systematic mobility transition. The approach: Planning and implementing a future-proof public transport system supported by a co-creative participation process. Kiel’s citizens were able to actively contribute their ideas in district forums, online surveys and other formats. To date the process has been accompanied and implemented by the engineering and management consultancy company Ramboll.
