Teuflisch gut: Diabolo-Verbindung zum Brüsseler Flughafen. Neue Flughafen-Anbindung ist Teil des künftigen GEN/RER-Netzes in Brüssel.

Abstract

Seit vielen Jahren wird in Brüssel an Plänen zum Ausbau des SPNV-Netzes (GEN/RER) gearbeitet. Dazu sind gewaltige Infrastruktur-Maßnahmen notwendig, die sich über eine immer länger werdende Bauperiode von mindestens 15 Jahren erstrecken. Im Rahmen dieser Bestrebungen ist der Nationale Flughafen, der bereits mit Brüssel und Leuven verbunden war, teils mittels eines PPP-Verfahrens direkt mit Antwerpen verbunden worden (Projekt Diabolo). Der Beitrag geht auf Diabolo und die PPP-Finanzierung ein, erläutert diese Verbindung im Rahmen des GEN/RER-Projektes und stellt das Rollmaterial vor.Since many years there have been plans to expand the regional express network (GEN/RER). But immense infrastructural measures are necessary which will need a construction period of about 15 years. Within these efforts, the national airport which was already connected to Brussels and Leuven was directly connected to Antwerp (project Diabolo) in a PPP procedure. This article focuses on Diabolo and the PPP financing and explains this connection in view of the GEN/RER project and presents the Desiro ML rolling stock.
