Abstract
The smart city concept with the corresponding technological systems of information processing is being used worldwide to meet current urban challenges such as the climate crisis in planning terms. However, the massive expansion of the use of digital Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in all areas of life are increasingly creating visible transformation dynamics through digitalization that significantly change urban space. Global ICT companies are offering digital solutions for cities without considering the urban spatial consequences. It is important to avoid the spatial risks and at the same time use the opportunities of digitalization for urban space. Based on an explorative study from expert interviews, the concrete spatial impact of technologies in urban space is examined. For this purpose, a cartography in the form of an axonometric mapping is used, in which direct and indirect spatial effects are depicted.
