Abstract
Sind die aktuellen Prüfverfahren für die Typgenehmigung von Motorrädern und Pkw geeignet, exzessive Lärmpegel bei neuen Fahrzeugen zu unterbinden? Zur Beantwortung dieser Frage ließ das Umweltbundesamt drei Motorräder und drei Pkw untersuchen, die sich speziell an Käuferschichten mit Interesse an sportlichem Sound richten. Obwohl die untersuchten Fahrzeuge die Grenzwerte für die Typgenehmigung einhielten, gelang es den Testfahrern mit allen Fahrzeugen, außerhalb der Prüfbedingungen extreme Lärmpegel zu erzeugen, also genau die Geräuschkulisse, die viele Anwohner beliebter Freizeitstrecken verzweifeln lässt. Im Ergebnis dokumentieren die Messungen gravierende Defizite der Typprüfverfahren.
Within the framework of the research project "Noise Emission of Motorcycles under Real-life Traffic Conditions", six representative vehicles, i.e. three motorcycles and three passenger cars, were tested with regard to their pass-by noise level according to the applicable ECE regulations. The three motorcycles were selected from three different segments, viz "high cubic capacity, low rev", "standard design" and "high-rev, performance optimised". As for the cars, two high-power car models were available, one a sports car and the other a sports SUV, both with controllable exhaust flap, as well as a passenger car with retrofitted sound generator.
