Abstract
Das Fahrrad hat sich in Deutschland als Fortbewegungsmittel im Alltag und Freizeit etabliert. Dieser Umstand muss bei Verkehrskonzepten adäquat berücksichtigt werden. Die Fahrradmitnahme im SPNV ist eine Aufgabe, die die Beteiligten auf unterschiedlichen Ebenen herausfordert. Hilfreich für Ausschreibungen, die betriebliche Organisation sowie die Kommunikation mit dem Kunden ist eine einheitliche Definition des Fahrrades auf Ebene der Nahverkehrsverbände und - unternehmen. Eine akteursübergreifende Abstimmung wird empfohlen.
Cycling has become an established mode of transport - both on workdays and in leisure time. This has to be appropriately considered in recent and future transportation planning and responsibilities. Better bike transport is a task which has to be challenged on different levels. In order to achieve the goal of a better bike transport, a uniform definition of a "bicycle" should be defined at the level of operators as well as transportation associations. This would be helpful for tenders, for operating the trains and for communicating with customers. A co-ordination between the responsible parties is recommended.
