Abstract
Da die Attraktivität des Gesamtsystems ÖPNV in erheblichem Maße auf einer zuverlässigen Fahrgastinformation basiert, gehört eine verbundweit funktionierende, unternehmensübergreifende elektronische Fahrplanauskunft zu den Kernaufgaben des VBB. Die Fahrplanauskunft VBB-Fahrinfo bietet dem Nutzer einen zeitgemäßen Funktionsumfang. Nachdem der VBB seine Informationsdienste seit 2008 weitgehend unverändert angeboten hat, stand nun ein Relaunch der VBB-Fahrinfo im Internet aus Nutzersicht ebenso an wie ein Update der Fahrinfo-Apps, bei dem eine erweiterte Nutzung von Echtzeitinformationen (Push-Dienste) im Vordergrund stand.
Since the attractiveness of Public Transport is based upon a reliable traveler information, an electronic travel planning systems which covers the whole VBB area is one of the key tasks of VBB. The travel planner VBB-Fahrinfo offers the customers state-of-the art functionalities. After offering its service continuously since 2008 now a relaunch of the internet information services as well as an upgrade of VBB's apps based following customer's needs was set on the agenda. The extended use of real time information (push services) was one key approach so far. In addition VBB's company website VBB.de has been updated, a modern content management system was introduced.
