Ein Park für alle - aber sicher! Der interkulturelle Generationenpark in Dessau.

Abstract

Der Beitrag beschreibt einen Prozess, in dessen Verlauf sich aus dem vernachlässigten und gemiedenen Stadtpark in Dessau-Roßlau eine einladende, lebendige Parkanlage entwickelt hat. Der Stadtpark ist zum Leistungsort geworden. Er stabilisiert den innerstädtischen Kern. Er wird wieder besucht und genutzt. Eine besondere Qualität besitzt er durch die Veranstaltungen des Parksommers. Dieses Ergebnis gründet sich auf: einen breiten Aktivierungs- und Beteiligungsprozess / eine gestalterisch hochwertige bauliche Aufwertung aller Flächen / ämter- und institutionenübergreifende Zusammenarbeit / ein konsequentes Stadtparkmanagement, das durch einen Parkmanager und ein breites Akteursspektrum gestützt wird / eine gute, von der Stadt Dessau-Roßlau abgesicherte Freiflächenpflege. Bei allen Überlegungen zur Aufwertung des Parks stand das Thema Sicherheit mit im Vordergrund. Aus einem Sicherheitskonzept konnten sicherheitsfördernde Maßnahmen umgesetzt werden. Die Belebung des Parks, seine gestalterische Aufwertung und die technische Innovation der interaktiven Beleuchtung tragen dazu bei, dass sich die Menschen hier wieder sicher fühlen.The article describes the process in the course of which an inviting, lively park has developed out of a neglected and avoided city park in Dessau-Roßlau. The city park has turned into a place of achievement. It stabilises the inner city centre. It is visited and used again. It possesses a particular quality through events of the "Summer in the Park". This result is based on the following factors: a broad process of activation and participation / a high-value rehabilitation of all spaces in terms of design / cooperation of different offices and institutions / a consequent management of the city park, which is supported by a park manager and a broad range of actors / a good maintenance of the open spaces, which is guaranteed by the city of Dessau-Roßlau. The subject of security was prominent in all considerations about the revaluation of the park. Measures promoting security were implemented on the basis of a security concept. The revitalisation of the park, its revaluation in terms of design and the technical innovation of interactive lighting help people to feel secure here again.
