Abstract
The project Nantes-Châteaubriant Tram-Train involves the construction of a new dual-current LRT line with a length of approx. 60 km in the west of France. The LRT line uses the route of a railway which was closed down in 1980. The eleven halts are designed to be accessible to the mobility challenged, have modern park-&-ride facilities and are linked with the rest of the public transport network. Construction work has almost been completed, commissioning is scheduled in 2014.
