Abstract
Students who are interested in studying the subject transportation in Germany are mainly offered to deepen their knowledge based on the 'classic' engineering course of studies. But the education offer in the transportation system cannot keep up with the increasing requirements of the employers. Indeed, the university education offers the necessary knowledge but has also to be organized systematically by in-company professional training. For this reason, Siemens Transportation Systems Rail Automations has established the Rail Automation Academy in 2002. It is primarily concerned with a continuing education referring to the development of control and safety device systems. difu
