Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Mosel: Erfolgreich in schwierigem Umfeld. Eine Zwischenbilanz nach drei Jahren.

Abstract

Drei Jahre nach seinem Start am 1. Januar 2002 hat der Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Mosel (VRM) eine erste Bilanz gezogen. Es gelang dem Verbund, mit seiner weit greifenden Einführungskampagne vom Start weg einen hohen Bekanntheitsgrad zu erreichen. Die Schwerpunkte der beiden letzten Jahre lagen in der Einführung eines einheitlichen Liniennummernsystems und der Weiterentwicklung des Tarifangebotes. Mit 63,3 Mio Fahrgästen konnte im Jahr 2003 gegenüber dem ersten Verbundjahr ein Zuwachs von 1,1 Prozent verzeichnet werden, obwohl die Zahl der Schüler im Verbundraum zurückging und die Zahl der zugelassenen Autos im Verbundgebiet um 2,8 Prozent zunahm. difuThree years after its beginning the first of January in 2002 the Transport Association Rhine-Moselle (VRM) has taken a first stock.
