Die PISA-Studien offenbaren erschreckende Defizite an unseren Schulen. Vor dem Wissen steht aber das Verstehen. Da 75 % des Lehrstoffs über das Sprechen vermittelt wird, spielt die Sprachverständlichkeit im Klassenzimmer in jedem Lernprozess eine entscheidende Rolle. Weil aber der Frontalunterricht vom Lehrer zu seinen Schülern zugunsten einer interaktiven Kommunikation aller weichen soll, kommt der akustischen Konditionierung der verschiedenen Räumlichkeiten wachsende Bedeutung zu. Bei überwiegend schallharten Begrenzungen, die auch wegen ihrer thermischen Aktivierung heute "unverkleidet" bleiben müssen, konzentrieren sich schalldämpfende Maßnahmen auf engstem Raum. Neuartige kompakte Hochleistungsabsorber, die auch die tiefen Frequenzen (mindestens bis 63 Hz) vollständig schlucken, können den verbreiteten Missstand schlechter Sprachverständlichkeit mit daraus resultierenden Lärmpegeln bis über 80 dB(A) kostengünstig und nachhaltig beseitigen. Mit besserer akustischer Transparenz wird so die Kommunikation und Interaktion zwischen Lehrenden und Lernenden erleichtert. difu
PISA-studies have revealed alarming deficits in many of our schools. Any basic knowledge, however, heavily relies on good understanding. Speech intelligibility in class rooms plays a very decisive role in all kinds of learning processes, as 75 % of the subject matters are normally conveyed by speech in one way or another. Since the frontal instructions from the teacher to his or her pupils should be replaced by an interactive communication of all participants, the acoustic conditioning of the various premises (class rooms, special education facilities and lobbies) gains significant importance. Today sound absorbing measures have to be extremely concentrated spacially, because of mostly rigid boundaries, which have to remain uncovered for their thermal activation and shrinking budgets for interior decoration, furnishing and renovation. Novel compact absorbers with a higher performance than that of conventional means, which can fully absorb also the low frequencies (at least down to 63 Hz) can efficiently and cost-effectively tackle the widespread dilemma of insufficient speech intelligibility with resulting noise levels often exceeding 80 dB(A). By improving acoustic transparency communication and interaction is eased considerably.
