Abstract

Die Arbeit untersucht am Beispiel von Bayern das Potenzial der Integrierten Ländlichen Entwicklung (ILE) als informelles Instrument zur Kulturlandschaftsentwicklung. Auf Basis einer qualitativen Analyse von vier ausgewählten Fallstudien wird aufgezeigt, welche Möglichkeiten und Grenzen die ILE zur Kulturlandschaftsentwicklung bietet und wo Ansatzpunkte eines Zusammenwirkens mit der formellen Landschafts- und Raumordnungsplanung bestehen.Using the example of Bavaria, this thesis investigates the potential of Integrated Rural Development (IRD) as an informal instrument for landscape management. Based on the qualitative analysis of four selected case-studies the research identifies the options and limitations of IRD for landscape management as well as existing points of smooth interaction for cooperation with formal landscape and spatial planning.
